In short

Lead the Artificial Intelligence, Automation, and Business Intelligence strategy and execution for the Pressure Management business unit to drive operational excellence and business growth. This hybrid role requires building and managing a global team, partnering with leaders to deliver impactful solutions, and fostering a data-driven culture.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the business unit's Artificial Intelligence, Automation, and Business Intelligence strategy, roadmap, and governance framework.
  • Partner with executive and functional leaders to identify, prioritize, and deliver high-impact AI, automation, and analytics initiatives.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and adoption of scalable AI, intelligent automation, and business intelligence solutions.
  • Support Emerson standards for responsible AI, data governance, model risk management, cybersecurity, privacy, and regulatory compliance.
  • Drive a data-driven culture by advancing self-service analytics and enabling actionable insights.
  • Build, develop, and lead a global team of AI, Automation, and Business Intelligence professionals.
  • Monitor emerging technologies and industry best practices to identify opportunities for digital transformation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Ten or more years of progressive experience leading technology, digital transformation, engineering, analytics, automation, or related initiatives within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing enterprise AI, automation, analytics, or digital transformation strategies.
  • Strong understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, including machine learning, generative AI, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), large language models, and intelligent automation technologies.
  • Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-focused recommendations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%, including occasional international travel.

Desired Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technology, including in the rapidly evolving Artificial Intelligence field.
  • Experience implementing AI, automation, business intelligence, or software solutions within manufacturing, supply chain, order management, purchasing, or industrial operations environments.
  • Experience establishing governance frameworks, technology standards, and risk management practices for digital solutions.
  • Understanding of Emerson and Pressure Management Business Unit order related processes, product lines, functional organizations, world areas, sales channels, customers, and business needs.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, Power Automate, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), and modern business intelligence platforms.
  • Understanding of SQL, data modeling, and database management systems.
  • Track record of delivering measurable business value, productivity improvements, and ROI through digital transformation initiatives.
