Responsibilities
- Provide specialist technical input to project planning, design reviews, and verification strategies.
- Lead and support cross-functional technical gates, workshops, and issue-resolution meetings.
- Define and maintain technical requirements, interfaces, and specifications, ensuring traceability.
- Conduct and support risk assessment activities (e.g., DFMEA/PFMEA) and implement mitigation actions.
- Develop, review, and oversee test plans, validation protocols, and qualification activities.
- Support supplier interactions, including technical reviews and issue resolution.
- Investigate technical or quality issues, lead root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor specialist metrics, provide reporting to project leadership, and escalate technical risks.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for product reliability, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Share knowledge and provide coaching to team members, promoting best practices and engineering standards.
Requirements
- Strong technical background in product development or process engineering within automotive or other safety-critical industries.
- Experience with systems engineering, requirements management, and design verification practices.
- Proven ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, quality, manufacturing).
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills with practical experience in root cause analysis techniques.
- Proficiency with MS Office tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to present technical information clearly.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a deadline-driven environment.
- English language proficiency.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with PLM/ERP systems and relevant engineering or testing tools is desirable.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, specialist qualifications) are an advantage.
